LAKME INVISIBLE FINISH FOUNDATION REVIEW : SHADE 2

Hi,
It has been quite sometime since I  stopped wearing foundation because I wanted to try out some BB creams that became quite a rage since its introduction in the Indian market. After trying quite a few brands of BB creams I now want to go back to my old foundation routine. I have tried most of the drug store brands and I wanted something to keep my face less oily this time around. So I wanted to experiment because every time I buy a foundation it either makes my skin dewy , more oily or it has less staying power.
I was not sure which product to pick up but somehow ended up buying the Lakme Invisible Finish Foundation. All thanks to flipkart, as i was bored and just browsing the net when i saw 40% off in the beauty section. Even without the discount this product will not burn a hole in your pocket .It retails at Rs 240  , which is affordable and it worth every penny ( trust me!!)

So, here is  my review of the foundation.
I bought this foundation in shade 2 because i have fair rather pale skin with lots of yellow undertones. I have to say that i lovvvvvvvvvvvvved this product. It gave my skin a very soft and velvety matte look (without looking cakey) and let me tell you i have super oily skin. (it works on dry skin as well) It has a water based formula so it will not cause any breakouts and will blend easily. It provides medium coverage but  it is buildable. I applied a thin layer and then added one more layer .It blends seamlessly into your skin leaving you with a flawless and even toned look.

lakme invisible finish foundation shade 2
This foundation as it claims is
  • water based
  • has SPF 8
  • perfect blending for flawless almost invisible finish

The consistency of this foundation is a little runny but it comes with a spatula attached to the lid so it becomes easy to apply. You can also use a foundation brush or a wet sponge to apply the foundation evenly.

However, this foundation has 8 different shades. So pick out which shade is closet to your skin tone
Here a little guide  for u to help you pick the correct shade-

shade 1-   fair skin with pink undertones
shade 2-   fair skin with yellow undertones
shade 4  - medium skin  with yellow undertones
shade 5-   medium skin with pink undertones
shade 7-  dark/ dusky skin with yellow undertones
shade 8-  dark/ dusky with pink undertones

So ladies pick your shade and get a flawless look .Suitable for everyday and office wear .Must try!!!!!

TIP : Always choose foundation shade closest to your skin tone.  Remember foundation is used to even out your skin tone and hide blemishes or marks so do not make the mistake of choosing lighter or darker shade.  It should natural and not like you are wearing a mask.  If you do choose slightly different shade then go for only a shade lighter or darker than your natural skin tone.  Use concealer to hide any marks or blemishes after your foundation routine for maximum coverage.Set it with pressed or loose  powder of your choice.

celebrate being "YOU"

Hello!!!
welcome to my blog
Hope you have the patience to read this..i know its long but i had a lot to say..
Bear with me..

This year i had no New Year Resolutions because each year  i successfully fail  to live by my words and comfortably carry  it over to the next year resolutions. Anyways, four months to this year 2015 and I realize that my resolution or lets say "my goal" is to detox my life completely.I want to remove all the toxic thoughts inside my head and also unapologetically remove all the toxic people from my life.I do not want to sit and crib about the things i do not have in my life and cannot afford to have either financially or emotionally.
I have come to this understanding that life is what you make of it. I do not need to think twice about cutting off  the strings which pull me back each time i try to take a step forward. If ever there has to be a master to pull the strings of my life than it has to be ME.I refuse to be somebody's puppet because i believe i am the master of my own life. Today i have mustered  enough courage to let go of what what does not make me happy and more importantly to let go of what makes me happy but is not mine to have. Moreover, sometimes the things we love and hold on to are the things that are holding  us back our happiness.
We are constant seeking  ways to carve a distinct definition, a place in this society. We are solely governed by our desire to be defined by our so called "achievements".The nagging fear that you might get caught up in the" rat race", the  "want", mind you, not the desire to make it to the finish line have got the better of our life.
look around you..or better still look at your own life. We work, we earn, we spend,we love, we try, we fail but we forget to LIVE and  in between the chaos, I believe  is where life happens.

Growing up i did a lot of "career hopping" in my mind. At one point of time i vividly remember wanting to be a veterinary doctor....(puffff.... God!!! i didn't know that one had to take up science  in college for that.... the end of one possibility).

However, till today i am a little skeptical of my career decision but one thing i am sure of  and i proudly say  is  that i want to be happy. That is my ambition.

The world today has enough of Doctors,Scientist,Engineers....its about time that we have a world full of happy people, the world needs more of that.  I  know life is chaotic, it is a mess,  so make it a beautiful mess of people  and things you loveLet  go of something that makes you sad. Stop questioning God, why me? Why do i have to go through this?

Always remember you are not the only one. Many before you have trodden the  same path and many more will follow. In life you only get what is yours and  what belongs to you. We have to taste bitter things to appreciate the sweetness.

Remember , nobody has the power  to either make you feel small or make you feel grand but YOURSELF..Eliminating toxic people and things from your life  is your first step to happiness. Life is short and it is meant  to be celebrated.  YOU are a reason good enough  to  celebrate!!!!

Stay happy, be whoever or whatever makes you makes you happy.  Keep the YOLO vibe going!!!!!!

                                       Celebrate being YOU...

XOXO.
